Whether you're a rescue setting up a Rescue Wishlist, a customer wanting to buy a registry gift or a bunny (or piggie!) slave prepping for your little ones' next Happy Gotcha Day, then read on!

Gift Buying FAQs

Can I include a gift message?

Of course, yes - and we'd be happy to hand write a gift message if you prefer that to a printed one. Just let us know your preference either at checkout of by separate message.

It means a great deal to any rescue to receive a gift or donation, and they like to know who is behind the gift, and any reason behind the donation where relevant.

We take great care to ensure the rescue knows who the gifts are from. Unless you specifically request for us to keep your donation anonymous, of course!

I don't know the address of the rescue ...

Don't worry! We've got you covered!

We have a directory of the rescues we work with, so if the rescue has a wishlist with us, we'll know their address and this will be automatically added for you during checkout.

If you'd like to send a gift to a rescue not yet registered with us, just let us know and we can confirm if we have their details...and if we don't, we'll get it sorted!

Will I know when my gift has been dispatched & received?

Yes, we'll send a dispatch confirmation when your order is on its' way, plus tracking information too.

Some rescues will either reach out directly if they have your details, or will post thanks via social media or email where appropriate.

Can I include an item that's not on the rescue gift registry?

Yes. Please place your entire order on the main website (rather than the rescues gift registry page).

If you're not sure of the delivery address use your own for the process of checking out and get in touch to advise where it should be sent.

Please include the order number and message us as soon as the order has been placed (or, ideally before, so we can look out for your order) ... we can be quite quick as dispatching and would hate to send it to the wrong address if we didn't see the message in time!

Ideally, if you're able to, give us a call on 01189 099 066 and we can confirm everything with you for your peace of mind!

The rescue address looks a bit funny. Why?

A number of rescues have requested we keep their delivery address out of the public domain - mainly (sadly) to prevent any increase in pet abandonment on their doorstep.

If a rescue has requested this, the address you'll at checkout is coded, and our dispatch team then ensures the right details are put onto the parcel at the point of dispatch.

The coded address will be along the lines of:

Wasing Lane
Aldermaston
RG7 4NA

The main body of the address is our own warehouse, as you can see from the foot of this web page.

We deal with the couriers in case of any delivery query too, so you can relax in the knowledge your gift will be on its' way to your favourite rescue very soon!

Oops! I forgot something at checkout & now my basket is empty - help!

Worry not!

The gift registry shopping cart is separate tot he website shopping cart, so if you've cancelled checkout during a gift registry purchase, your 'main' shopping cart will be empty, but your gifts should still be in your gift registry shopping cart.

Go back to your rescues' wishlist page, and you should be able to see a 'Go to Checkout' button at the foot of the list.

Click that, and you should be able to go through to the gift registry checkout page you were initially on.

Do you check the rescues out?

We invite rescues that are known to us and that are reputable, with welfare ideals generally aligned with our own strong welfare ideals.

We do carry out background checks, and actively manage our wishlist area.

Rescue support can be a very personal thing and we suggest customers donate to those rescues they are familiar and comfortable with, and are happy gifting to.

Rescue Wishlist FAQs

Does the rescue need to be a registered charity?

No - we welcome rescues of all sizes, great and small!

Once your rescue has enquired/created a wishlist, we will check various aspects of the rescue to ensure our customers are not mislead.

We reserve the right to remove any lists from operators that do not align generally with our own welfare view.

Can the rescue hold more than one wishlist?

Yes - this can be useful when asking for gifts for a certain animal, event or activity, for example.

Extra lists can be added via your wishlist account area.

Is it possible to see what has been bought for the rescue?

Yes - as the rescue wishlist admin, you will be able to see the orders placed for the rescue and you'll also be able to send thanks to the buyer from your wishlist account area if you'd like to.

Is the rescue able to keep the delivery address hidden from public view?

Yes - we offer two levels of address security, depending on your requirements. Please contact us for details on this.

The privacy levels are as follows:

A fully private address, with no geographical link is the highest level, where your supporters see your rescue name, wishlist ID and our warehouse address only at checkout. We then add the correct delivery address at the point of dispatch.

A part-hidden address can include the town, county or area of the rescue, and is useful if you wish to promote the area you work in. Your supporters would see a combination of your rescue name, wishlist ID and part of the postcode, as desired when they checkout.

If you do not require delivery address privacy, the address included in the wishlist setup will show at checkout to the purchaser.

Does a contact name have to be displayed on the wishlist?

No - some rescues like to publicise a point of contact, whilst others do not - this can be when a number of different volunteers monitor email, for example.

If no contact name is desired, enter the name of the rescue in the contact details area, for example:

First name: ABC
Last name: Rescue

This will then show as:
Contact: ABC Rescue

General Gift Registry Setup

Is it only rescues that can have a gift registry?

Anyone can have a gift registry, though only those operating as a rescue can hold a rescue gift registry.

If you'd like to create a registry for a birthday or Christmas, for example, select the corresponding event type, and this will be displayed on the gift registry for your supporters.

You can also password protect the gift registry if you'd prefer it to be available only to those you send a link to, such as friends and family only, for example.

I'd like to create a registry for a type of event not covered. How do I do this?

Just let us know the type of event you'd like to create, and we'll get it added in for you!
