Premium oat forage hay that pets enthusiastically love. Customers said their rabbits and guinea pigs get extremely excited when they hear the bag opening. "Fresh green appearance" and sweet smell make it irresistible even to picky eaters. One customer noted their pet only eats the green leaves and oat heads, leaving stalks.

Don't buy oat hay from any other source-this is the best one of all.
Its fresh green appearance and its smell even tempt me, so I can understand why they get so excited.

All of my rabbits love this

All 4 of our rabbits (2 Continental Giants, 2 minilops) love this hay. So much better than Oxbow's which is straw not oat hay. You are my only source for oat hay-please keep producing it!!

Fresh smell and green sends the piggies mad for more

My piggies love this hay, as soon as the bag is opened they're squealing telling me to open it faster 😄. Its fresh green appearance and its smell even tempt me (I haven't tried it 😂), so I can understand why they get so excited.

Lovely fresh

Lovely fresh, sweet smelling Green Oat Hay.
I have only scored it a 4 star as my Guinea pig ‘princess’ is only eating the green leaves and oat heads, is leaving all the stalks.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

FAQs about Green Oat Forage Hay - The Hay Experts

What is Green Oat Forage Hay?

Green Oat Forage Hay is harvested and rapid dried while the oat plants are still green. It contains a delicious mix of stems, leaves and seed heads to provide texture, fibre and enrichment for your small animals.

Which species is Green Oat Forage hay suitable for?

Our Green Oat Forge Hay is suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and all other herbivorous small animals.

Can Green Oat Forage Hay replace regular feeding hay?

No. Green Oat Forage Hay is best fed alongside your little ones' regular high-fibre hay, such as Timothy Hay or a meadow hay, which should remain the main part of their diet. This is because our Green Oat Forage Hay is much richer than other species. The main take away is that variety is key!

Why do small animals love oat forage?

Many small animals enjoy the crunchy oat seed heads and varied textures, which help encourage natural foraging and feeding behaviours.

Is Green Oat Forage Hay good for enrichment?

Absolutely! The combination of stems, leaves and seed heads provides a more interesting feeding experience than standard hay alone.

How should I store Green Oat Forage Hay?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, chemicals or strong odours. Keep the packaging sealed where possible to maintain freshness and aroma.

Does Green Oat Forage Hay help with dental health?

Yes. Like other fibrous forages, chewing Green Oat Forage Hay helps support the natural wearing down of continuously growing teeth.

Can I feed Green Oat Forage Hay every day?

Yes. It can be offered daily as part of a varied forage selection alongside unlimited good-quality feeding hay.
